Placements #1 through #4 were decided by head-to-head results in the final rounds. The four cigars eliminated in the Grand 8 never met each other, so they are recognized equally as Grand 8 Honorees instead of being given an arbitrary order.

Ashology™ is the evaluation method used by The Master Ashologist. Each cigar is rated from 0 to 5 in six categories (construction, draw, burn, flavor complexity, balance and finish), for a maximum score of 30.
